Meet Ms. Putman
Hello! I am so excited for an amazing year at Wasatch Peak Academy with you in my class. My name is Ms. Putman and this is my second year as a teacher at WPA, but my third-year teaching. I moved to Salt Lake City from Gainesville, Florida where I taught a K-2nd class one year ago. I absolutely love being a teacher and helping students discover their love of learning. I value each and every student and their unique differences that make them special! I want my students to always know that they are valued and supported within our classroom community. I was born in the sunny state of Florida, but grew up living all across the country because my dad is in the Air Force. Florida, California, Colorado, South Carolina, Nevada, Virginia, Texas, back to Florida, and now Utah! I am so thrilled to be living in such a beautiful new city and state! I attended the University of Florida for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. Go Gators! During my time at UF, I was lucky enough to be a member of the Florida Dazzlers (the official dance team of the Florida Gators). I loved cheering on the Gators from the sidelines as a student athlete. In my free time, I love playing with my adorable black cat (Boo), hiking, working out, exploring Salt Lake City, trying new restaurants, dancing, and traveling! I'm excited for this new school year and for all of the new students I get to teach! I hope as students and parents you feel welcome in the classroom, and that you have a great year with me as your teacher! |
